Mathias Wikström

Mathias Wikström is a Sweden based renowned sustainability business leader and creative strategist who aims to innovate as well as making the complex communicate. He founded Doconomy together with Johan Pihl and spearheaded other globally awarded forefront projects in Finance, Sustainability and Human Rights. He has received an EMBA with honors at Stockholm School of Economics with focus on Leading Innovation, been educated at Berlin School of Creative Leadership. Mathias has served on several juries and is a high scoring speaker at industry summits in Europe, Asia and Latin America as well as with the UN and UNFCCC.

Rónán O Dálaigh

Ronan is a social entrepreneur and activist. The enterprise he is currently leading, Thriftify (an e-commerce solution for charity shops), has been awarded the Best Social & Sustainable Start-Up and was recently recognized as a High Potential Start-Up by Enterprise Ireland as it raised substantial investment to scale its model internationally and signed up 95% of Ireland's charity shops to its platform. Beth Doherty is an 18-year-old activist from Dublin. She has been involved in the climate movement since March 2019, beginning as an organiser of the climate strikes in Dublin as part of the Fridays for Future movement. Since then, she has worked to organise the strikes in Dublin and attended the FFF Europe summit in Lausanne in 2019. She worked on the Supreme Court case which brought the Irish government to court on their climate policy last summer, and has worked on education for sustainable development and empowering young people.

She has won industry awards for her work on changing sustainability behaviours in corporate contexts and believes that a deep understanding of human psychology is the key to unlocking behaviour change at scale in every jurisdiction around the world.

Colette Henry

Strategy Director, ROTHCO

Colette Henry is passionate about using her skills to create positive change and has worked in the communications industry for 18 years powering brands across all 5 continents. She is Strategy Director and Sustainability Lead at Rothco : Accenture Interactive and on the Board of Directors for the environmental education NGO ‘Leave No Trace’. She has recently completed a Postgrad at Dublin City University in Sustainability Management and is one of the founding members of Purpose Disruptors in Ireland.

Dr. André Martinuzzi

Head of the Institute for Managing Sustainability, Vienna University of Economics and Business

For 20 years he has coordinated projects funded by the EU Framework Programmes, on behalf of six different EU DGs, Eurostat, UN organizations and for several national ministries. His current research activities focus on Responsible Innovation, Sustainability Management and Circular Economy. He holds a doctoral degree in Business Administration and a postdoctoral lecture qualification (venia docendi) in environmental management and sustainable development policy.

Rebecca Bennis

Implementation Project Manager, Diligent

With a background in Environmental Science and Sustainable Resource Management, Rebecca Bennis is an Implementation Project Manager at Accuvio (now Diligent), a Sustainability Reporting Software Solutions company. In her current role, Rebecca is responsible for working with organizations to find optimal solutions for analysing and reporting their Greenhouse Gas emissions, in order for them to reduce CO2 emissions and ultimately tackle the climate crisis.

Colin Barry

Founder, Brite Mobility Limited

Colin Barry is the Founder of Brite Mobility Limited. After years in the auto trade, his family sold their motor dealership business ‘Higgins Motorpark’ in 2018 where his family held multiple dealer contracts with Ford, BMW and Honda. Colin then decided it was time to change the vehicle transport game and launched Brite in 2019. Brite Mobility Limited, trading as Brite, supply commuter vehicle managed services for corporate and university campuses and provide ebike sharing for cities while also working with leading food delivery businesses in Ireland to deliver food in city centres in Ireland.

FLOSSIE DONNELLY

Flossie Donnelly is a 14 year old marine environmentalist and climate activist. From the age of 7 Flossie started to notice plastic pollution in the sea and on the beaches, by 9 she had started her own beach cleaning club and raised €4000 to get the first 2 Seabins in Ireland. This then led to striking for the climate, Flossie did her first Climate Strike in December 2018 and has striked every Friday since, she will only stop when the world leaders take notice and climate change is turned around.

The Siemens digitalisation team work with their customers leveraging domain expertise, creative thinking and problem solving to realise solutions that transform businesses and create all of our shared futures

Sue Kelsey is executive vice president, Global Consumer Products and is responsible for accelerating inclusive and sustainable digital economies. This includes delivering on Mastercard’s Financial Inclusion commitment to including 1Bn people into the world’s digital economy by 2025, focusing on both unbanked and underserved audiences. Additionally, she is accountable for Mastercard’s sustainability commitment to reforest 100M trees by 2025, driven by Mastercard’s Priceless Planet program which includes building sustainability solutions to serve customers and consumers in financial services.

Eva McDonnell

Eva McDonnell is an 18 year old from county Cork in Ireland. For the past 9 months she has been the democratically elected representative of students in the Cork City region. As Climate change is an issue which students are very passionate about, she has worked tirelessly to amplify the youth voice on this issue. She has helped organise and facilitate events to help students understand the root causes of climate change and to put them in contact with politicians and decision makers so that they can make their views heard. It is her belief that it is imperative that young people's opinions are included in all mediums of communication surrounding the current climate catastrophe

Jessica Dunne is a 17 year old student activist with Fridays for Future Ireland. She got involved in activism through Fridays for Future and since has branched into more general work. She is a strong believer in intersectionality within climate activism and other social movements and advocates for it whenever possible.

He has acted for developers, investors and funders on the development, financing, acquisition and disposal of a significant number of energy projects and portfolios in Ireland with a focus on renewables. Eoin is recognised as a leading practitioner in this sector. Eoin is the president of the Energy and Environment Commission in AIJA and has been recognised by Who’s Who as an expert lawyer on environmental matters.

Tony Verutti has been working at the intersection of business and purpose for the last five years. He is currently the head of global partnerships and strategy for Parley for the Oceans where he leads collaborations with pace-setting companies and governments around the world. In this role, he focuses on transforming brands towards the new economy which will make it more lucrative to protect the planet than to destroy it. Tony spent the first 10 years of his career working in management consulting in Silicon Valley before receiving an MBA from SDA Bocconi in Milan, Italy.

Dr. Lina M. Valencia, PhD

Dr. Lina Valencia was born and raised in Colombia, the third most biodiverse country in the world. She grew up with parents who took her hiking, camping and fishing. One of her early memories is of a trip to Gorgona National Natural Park, an island in the Pacific coast of Colombia that used to host a jail, but allowed her to see dolphins, Capuchin monkeys, poison dart frogs, corals, and Humpback Whale migration. In fact, a whale breached near them, almost capsizing their boat. Little Lina was fascinated. Lina has spent the last 5 years working with and learning from indigenous and Afro-descent communities in South and Central America in our efforts to save the forests they call home.

Fionnuala Moran

Fionnuala is a broadcaster and environmentalist. As Head of Brand and Content Creation for 2GoCup, she is working to eradicate single-use coffee cups in Ireland and progress the circular economy. While her environmental interests span back to her school days, New Year resolutions to go vegan and quit fast fashion in 2018 and 2019 respectively, spurred on her sustainability efforts. These efforts have now spread to every aspect of her life and led her to swap entertainment reporting for environmentally-focused work. In 2020 the communications graduate returned to DCU to study the MSc in Climate Change: Media, Policy and Society.
